Prepara Tu Mochila Hacia Valle Nuevo
Como cada año, la Fundación Caamaño realizará el próximo 18 y 19 de febrero el tradicional recorrido hacia el monumento del héroe de abril, ubicado en Nizaíto, Valle Nuevo, lugar donde fue asesinado el 16 de febrero del 1973. El guerrillero Claudio Caamaño encabeza esta actividad en la que cientos de personas acuden y escuchan diferentes anécdotas del histórico hecho.
El grupo prepararan un campamento que será instalado desde el sábado 18 al domingo 19 de febrero y todos los que tengan deseo de vivir estas historias, puede ir a esta actividad, siempre llevando lo necesario para su estadía. Es recomendable llevar frazadas y buenos abrigos porque el frío llega a grados muy bajos, pero también llevar comida y una casa de campaña para pasar la noche.
Varios grupos de diferentes provincias, así como ciclistas, se dan cita a esta actividad llena de historia y el sentimiento por el presidente Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó, quien luchó en las montañas de Ocoa por su país. Esta actividad también tiene fines ecoturísticos, pues tiene la oportunidad de visitar la pirámide en Valle Nuevo.
Todos están invitados a participar en este campamento, como también los que quieran hacer la caminata a pie que saldrá a las 11:50 de la noche del viernes 17 de febrero desde el parque Libertad hasta el Monumento a Caamaño. Muchos saldrán el sábado 18 a las 8 de la mañana. La mayoría de los participantes llegan en vehículos y tienen todo el día del sábado para hacer el viaje que incluye historia y aventura ecoturística.
